Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) has been involved with apprentice training for over 40 years. With all of this experience we still continue to uphold our reputation for producing high calibre engineers for the industry.
With the success of the apprenticeship Monarch has developed a direct entry (adult trainee) scheme to enable engineers with transferable skills to be retrained in another engineering discipline.
Successful applicants will initially be based at our Engineering Training Academy at London Luton Airport where they will complete 8 weeks theoretical and practical hand skills development training. Following this phase, trainee engineers will then complete the 2 years of training in the location as specified during the initial application process (Luton, Birmingham or Component Maintenance Centre).
What will I learn?
During your training you will have the opportunity to develop and transfer your skills from your previous training to those of an Aircraft Engineer. Your training will be based on the competencies required of a Level 3 NVQ program as well as the standards demanded of the aeronautical industry.
To ensure that these standards are being met you will be working alongside the Monarch Aircraft Engineering engineers and mentors who will guide you through the necessary skills and techniques that go towards maintaining aircraft to the highest standards. You will also be subject to a constant monitoring and review program undertaken by our technical instructors and shopfloor supervision.

- Hold a valid UK/EU passport with the right to live and work in the UK
