Component Maintenance Services
Monarch Aircraft Engineering has a highly motivated and flexible work force who specialise in the following areas of component maintenance.
Avionics Services
The Avionics Services facility has an extensive capability list where we maintain a vast range of on board avionic equipment, where we can perform anything from routine maintenance tasks to component overhaul. In addition, we are able to offer an oxygen charging service, replace chemical cylinders contained within passenger service units and repair engine and ‘C’ duct electrical harnesses.
Battery Services
Our Battery Services technicians are experienced in performing capacity checks, overhauls and charging of various electrical power components, which include main and emergency aircraft Ni-Cad batteries. Upon completion of any maintenance we can also offer to hold and store components in our climate controlled storage facilities.
Calibration Services
The team in our Calibration Services facility are able to manage calibration programs on a wide range of aircraft tooling and test equipment in a controlled environment. As well as our in house capability we have established a range of calibration partners, so if we can not manage the requirement, we know someone who can. All work carried out is to UKAS traceable standards coupled with "out of tolerance" reporting, all at very competitive prices. Our capabilities include dimensional, pressure, torque, electrical and crimping.
Composite Services
Our Composite Services experts have a broad experience of performing on and off wing composite and metal–metal bonding repairs to a wide range of components, using hot bond and room temperature repairs incorporating 250°F and 350°F pre-preg materials and 150°F and 230°F resins. Areas of repair expertise include delaminations, disbonds, impact damage, moisture ingression and erosion.
Filter and Sanitation Services
Filter and Sanitation Services are proficient in the cleaning, inspection and function testing of various consumable repairable material and components. Their capabilities range from the simple cleaning of fuel and oil filters to the more complex task of disassembling, cleaning and re-assembling of toilet rinse valves.
Mechanical Services
The Mechanical Services personnel have the capability to perform a variety of services, these include repair and overhaul to major aircraft components such as cowlings, C ducts, passenger doors and flying controls. We have a fully capable machine shop that fabricate aircraft parts and tooling along with staff that are fully trained in performing welding, flame spraying, cadmium plating, bearing replacements and heat treatment.
Safety Equipment Services
The specialists who work in our Safety Equipment Services workshop are fully approved to perform overhauls, function and hydro static testing on a vast range of safety and emergency equipment. Items which are included within our component capability are escape slide systems, crew and infant life jackets, fire extinguishers, survival packs, resuscitation and de-fibrillator kits.
