Award winning independent aircraft maintenance provider, Monarch Aircraft Engineering has signed an agreement with Neos, the Italian based leisure airline, to provide inflight entertainment (IFE) upgrade modifications on two of their Boeing 767 aircraft and six of their Boeing 737 aircraft.

Under the terms of the agreement Monarch’s Part 21J Design Organisation Approval, Monarch Design Services will provide a modification to allow Neos to replace its Hi8 Video Tape Reproducers with Digital Media Reproducers (DMR).

Commenting on the agreement, Paul Godfrey, Monarch Design Services Manager said, “We are delighted to have secured the contract with Neos for the installation of the DMR across their fleet and we look forward to maintaining this close working relationship with them in the future”.

Marco Brusa, Neos’s Technical Director said, “We have been working closely with Monarch Aircraft Engineering in the development of this modification including a dedicated flight trial. Following this successful trial we are extremely pleased to install the Monarch modification across our fleet”.
