Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Boeing in support of the Boeing GoldCare programme for the all-new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. As a partner in Boeing GoldCare, MAEL will provide base maintenance services to support the 787 Dreamliner fleet.

Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited has been at the forefront of UK and European MRO services since its inception in 1967 and was a pioneer in the provision of maintenance services to airlines from its earliest days.

Richard Mintern, Managing Director of Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd, commented: “Boeing’s recognition of our MRO business and our selection as a key partner in GoldCare is testimony that we can compete in the MRO sector and demonstrates our innovative, high quality, flexible and service-orientated approach. The next generation of commercial aircraft will require less maintenance and those organisations that can innovate to provide the support required by the operator will be the ones that are relevant in the market.

“The 787 Dreamliner is another exciting challenge that MAEL will be embracing, setting a new standard in aircraft design and build, with enhanced composite construction and enhanced electric systems. I am also extremely proud that the first Boeing customer of GoldCare is TUI Travel PLC with whom we have enjoyed a successful business relationship with over a number of years. I am optimistic that the GoldCare product will be taken by other European and African operators and in partnership with Boeing we would be pleased to make available our services to other airlines.”

Vice President of Fleet Management for Boeing Commercial Airplanes Bob Avery commented, “Monarch Aircraft Engineering has a long history of successful, high quality maintenance and is a great fit to provide the maintenance component for our 787 GoldCare. “Monarch’s participation represents a broad commitment to quality as GoldCare progresses in the marketplace.”
