Ian joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 2003 and is responsible for the management of the sales and marketing department, including the acquisition of new business, advertising and marketing campaigns and for ensuring current customer contracts are delivered to an extremely high standard.
With over 20 years experience in the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul industry Ian has previously held senior commercial management roles at Air UK and KLM uk Engineering, where he was responsible for major contracts, purchasing and logistics both within the UK and the Netherlands.
General Manager – Asset Management
David joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 1998 and is responsible for the optimisation of the MAEL assets, negotiating external repair contracts and maximising the revenue accrued from the assets held. His role as General Manager – Asset Management also oversees the Component Maintenance Centre at Luton.
With over 24 years of asset management experience, David has held Senior Manager Supply Chain positions at BA Heathrow and Cardiff, where supply chain activities were his primary responsibility.
Head of Sales
Dave joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 1984, and started his career as a Customer Support Supervisor. He transferred to Monarch’s Manchester hangar facility in 1996 and was responsible for all commercial activity within the Sales and Marketing department. Although he left the business in 2010 he returned in 2013 to head up the Sales team.
As Head of Sales, Dave’s responsibilities include managing sales activities from initial contact to finalizing contracts for Base and Line Maintenance, Part M Management Services and Component Maintenance.
Head of Key Projects & Customer Accounts
Lee joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 1988 as an engineering apprentice and after 18 years learning his trade as a qualified Aircraft Mechanic, he moved into his first management role in 2006. In his time at Monarch Aircraft Engineering Lee has managed the Maintenance Group Planning, Capacity Planning, Integrated Operations Centre and more recently Head of Sales.
In his current role as Head of Key Projects & Customer Accounts he is responsible for the implementation of important business projects as well as ensuring established customers have a positive experience at Monarch Aircraft Engineering's facilities.
Regional Sales Manager
Andy Lowi joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 1989, working within the Logistic Supplies department purchasing everything from office stationary and furniture to aircraft material. He has also worked as a Priority Support Officer on the AOG desk, where his responsibilities included locating spares for down-route AOG line aircraft and arranging sales and loans to other airline industry counterparts.
He became Regional Sales Manager in 2005, working within the Sales and Marketing team and is responsible for seeking new business within the industry for the company’s five core business areas.
Sales Manager - Spares Trading
Neil joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 1996, working initially within Stock Audit and Logistics Handling. He joined the Sales & Marketing team in 2001 and has held a number of positions which include the role of Customer Support Supervisor and Sales Analyst. Neil was appointed as Sales Manager in 2011, and was initially responsible for a acquisition of new business in the line and light maintenance sectors and account managing existing contracts.
He is now responsible for managing the companies Spares Trading activities, overseeing the day to day component sales, exchange & loans, while actively reviewing additional revenue streams and long term trading strategies.
Marketing and PR Executive
Michelle joined The Monarch Group in 1992 where she worked with Monarch Technical Support who specialises in providing tailored aerospace personnel. In 2006 she joined the Sales and Marketing department where she currently holds the position of Marketing and PR Executive.
With over 19 years experience in the aviation industry, Michelle’s is now responsible for all of Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s Marketing and PR activities.
